Avi was born in Tel Aviv in a Jewish home. After serving in
the Israeli Air Force, he decided to visit his sister in America. This is where he met
Yeshua as Savior and Lord. In 1984, he married Chaya and returned to Israel. In 1985, God
opened the door for them to study at Christ For The Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas.
In 1987, they returned to Israel where they are involved in full time ministry.
They now have four daughters. The oldest has served in the Israeli Defense Force and is now married.
Avi is the pastor of congregation Adonai Roi (The Lord is My Shepherd) and teaches classes on evangelism, Yeshua in the Passover, and discipleship Training. Avi is also Director of the Dugit Evangelistic Outreach Center in the heart of downtown Tel Aviv. For two years, he served as Chairman of the Israeli National Evangelistic Committee. The goal of this committee is to bring local congregations together to participate in evangelistic outreaches to the entire nation of Israel. Avi is also an international conference speaker.
Chaya has been involved in the dance ministry, teaching worship and warfare with the tambourine and dance throughout Israel. She has also been involved in the Pro-Life movement in Israel where she has led Post Abortion Syndrome Workshops that provide counseling and support to women who are suffering the trauma that follows an abortion. Chaya now helps Avi with the ministries of Dugit and Adonai Roi as well as raising their 3 girls who remain at home.
